Blokart Race Video at Bangalee
A few weeks ago I raced around the beach with a camera strapped to the front of my kart. I’ve eventually put a video together. If nothing else, it clearly shows the importance of getting a fast start at the front of the fleet.
I didn’t! You can learn from my mistakes.
Local Blokart Racing gets off the ground

The Blokart racing on Saturday afternoon was a lot of fun and great to see a good number of karts and people turn up.
I have attached a set of results for the races. These may need some explaining, as I have used the same scoring system that is used for sailing races. I have added some notes below the table to try and explain the points. For races that a kart did not contest/start it scored 15 points, this is based on 14 karts that raced during the afternoon plus 1.

Notes:
- To participate in the races and events listed on the calendar all blokart skippers must be a member of the Central Queensland Blokart Club, this is to ensure everyone is covered by public liability insurance. Membership forms and fees payable can be found on the CQBC website. http://cqbc.yolasite.com/
- All Blokart skippers shall wear a helmet and closed in shoes, and shall wear their seatbelt during all club events.
- For the Queensland Championships highlighted in the calendar, you will need to register and pay the fee. More details will be available shortly.
